Terms of Service

1. Service

SourceTag provides a lead attribution tracking service. You add our tracking script to your website, configure channel rules and field mappings, and the script populates hidden form fields with attribution data when visitors submit forms.

2. Account

You must provide accurate account information. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. One person or legal entity per account.

3. Plans and billing

  • Plans are billed monthly via Stripe
  • Free trials are 14 days. No credit card required to start
  • You can upgrade, downgrade, or cancel at any time from the billing page
  • Downgrades take effect at the end of the current billing period
  • We do not offer refunds for partial months

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Use the service to collect data without appropriate visitor consent where required by law
  • Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract the source code of our tracking scripts beyond what is visible in the browser
  • Use the service to track visitors without their knowledge where such tracking is unlawful
  • Resell access to the service without a written agreement
  • Exceed your plan's site limit by circumventing technical controls

5. Your responsibilities

  • Obtaining appropriate cookie consent from your website visitors where required (e.g. EU/UK GDPR, ePrivacy Directive)
  • Including SourceTag's cookies in your cookie policy
  • Ensuring your use of attribution data complies with applicable privacy laws

6. Data and privacy

See our Privacy Policy and Data Processing Agreement. We are a data processor; you are the data controller for visitor cookie data.

7. Availability

We aim for high availability but do not guarantee 100% uptime. The tracking script is served from Cloudflare's global CDN. We are not liable for downtime caused by third-party services, your hosting provider, or visitor browser settings (e.g. ad blockers).

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, SourceTag's total liability is limited to the fees you paid in the 12 months preceding the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.

9. Changes to terms

We may update these terms. Material changes will be communicated via email at least 30 days in advance. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of New Zealand. Disputes will be resolved in the courts of New Zealand.
